Bighead Carp in Henderson

Since the water has cleared in Henderson I've been seeing a lot of big fish just below the surface with their large mouth gaping. A little online digging has led me to believe it's the invasive Bighead carp filter feeding on some zooplankton or phytoplankton. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bighead_carp

I don't think it's the jumping Silver carp, but I may be wrong. Either way it's not good for the native fish that count on the same diet. Here is a good LW&F article entitled "Silverfin", but it talks about the Bighead too. Don't read it if you are already sad.

Anybody else seeing these? Probably need sunglasses to pick them out. They just look up at me some time and scoot if I move a rod tip to give them a poke.

Looks like it. I hooked one in the dorsal fin with my jig pole. Helluva ride.

A couple of years ago a few of us met up with Bruce at Henderson and he led us into the south flats. I was following him by about 30 feet when all of a sudden right behind his boat they started jumping. We were going slow through the trees when this happened. I slowed to a dead idle and worked my way to catch up with him. I didn't see any more that day.
