I don't know who gifted me this thread since I have made a merger of all the good stuff you have so generously provided.
This nylon wool thread is hard to tie. I could not find a Youtube info. I made a string body and left a piece of thread extruding from the body core. Of course I made a thin tail from maribu. Really hard to tie and hide the finish knot and hide the lump from the tie.
So, teach me something easy to do with this thread.
Well here are some I tied using this kind of materials. This is called Crappie Candy Fly and if interested I will leave a link below with instructions on tying it. This fly actually was just done in Chart. These spools of Wool do not have a lot on them so not sure I would do bodies that are a build up?

Wow! I haven't progressed enough to tackle that year model fly yet!
LOL, it's not as hard as you think cane pole! However with this you should be able to see how to use it and just don't put a big fat body on you jigs and use 1/32 oz heads! Should be able to do all kinds of things. I have every color they make of that stuff, but they are only 10 yard spools!Quote:

I have some of that wool and might have sent you some Tom. Glad to see you getting experimental with it. I have a few of the Crappie candy that I have tied and they aren't difficult at all. One step after the other and very few steps and then you're done. Holler if you need some more of that wool, I have a couple I can spare.
I also think that the size of the body appeals to you and a smaller body would probably have the same effect. The popeye jig has almost no material or size and has been a standard for a very long time. Give it a shot and let us know
