Smithville 8/11/17
Brother and I put on at 8:30 am and took off at 1:00 pm with 29 keepers. He miss counted his. Nothing big, most were 9.5 inch fish. We caught dozens of short fish. All the fish were caught on brush piles in 10-12 ft. The fish were towards the top of the brush. I was throwing a pumpkin and chartreuse crappie thunder and he was throwing a Cajun chicken crappie thunder. 1/16 oz jig head. They didn't want a lot of movement either. Hope this helps someone fishing this weekend. Dave

Nice work!! Mind if I ask what general area you were in? I was by the w hwy launch last week and only managed 2 keepers.

Parratt1, we put in at Little Platte and fished main lake brush piles. Mostly from Little Platte down to just north of W bridge. We only had 4 fish bigger than 10 inches, the rest were between 9-10 inches. We threw several back that were too close to the line. They are feeding heavy on shad. Their bellies were full of shad paste when we cleaned them.

Good deal. I am contemplating going out for another go at them in the morning early. Thanks for the info
