Lots of places rent 02 bottles, rather than refill on site. No need to buy one if your place rents (as they will send off your shiny bottle to get refilled and it comes back beat up).
Yep rent is good....no waiting on refills....just swap out for a full one and pay for the contents.

Hey there Rebranger,
Just trying to help you.....Go to page 4 of Sippi , off topic ,7 threads down the page, to "Portable Oxygen System"....There is a bunch of real good info....
Another strong tool is the "search" function....
I agree with you if you can rent one I bought mine and went to fill them and got used dirty tanks back

It's been a while since I bought a small spare bottle from an AC supply dealer. It will be monday before I can check prices.

This is the green ones like in welding shops. You buy the tank, different price for different size and buy the gas in them. Swap out tanks and pay for the gas. These tanks have material in them to trap moisture (water) and trash (rust). If they are old and laying flat the moisture can mess up the valves, hoses and other fittings when left opened. Best not to use if laying more than 20 degrees.
For medical oxygen bottles I would type that into search for the best price and location. I don't know where to take them for refill. Some of the gas suppliers have filtered oxygen for these tanks.
