New to Spider rigging
Ive always fished single pole over brush tops mostly and have recently started spider rigging some and was looking for some tips and advice y'all may have. I've only tried it on grand bayou in coushatta and was wondering if anyone has tried it in the oxbows on the red river

I don't really spider rig much but I'm sure a few on here will chime in soon. One tip I would give you is one you probably already know, set out different rods at different depths until you locate them and then go to that depth with the other rods.

Thanks I appreciate it, still trying to learn it just been playing with different size weights and Speeds but didn't know what worked the best.

I'd do a search. Not many post from the red River oxbow's. The Mississippi board has a post now about spider rigging with a float.HTH

Thanks I'll get on there check it out!

l mainly use a 1oz weight on all my rods for the fact if u need to speed up you can keep your bait in the strike . a guide to go by is in colder water go slow say .3 -.5 and as the water gets warmer you speed up .5 -.8 .. and in the dead summer you can power troll move up to a 2 or 3 oz weight and run .9- 1.2 .

You could also try a double dropshot rig with shiners and move along pretty slow.
