Cherokee 8/3 to 8/6

Went to cherokee for a few days. First thing i noticed is lake is way down from full pool. If you dont know the lake very well i suggest going slow and taking your time. There are ALOT of dangerous obstacles just barely under water or just barely sticking out of water. Especially past 25E bridge headed toward dam.
The water was varying 86 to 88 depending on your location. We caught a couple of crappie but one released himself at the boat. All in all a farley unproductive fishing trip. Water just too hot. Caught the crappie trolling bandit 300 crankbait thats chartreuse and was also trying one that glowed in the Dark. The glow in dark never got a hit.
Was trolling under luhr and jensen divers at 86 to 100 feet of line out.
Had 2 big hits with poles doubled over then broke the line. My mistake was had too much drag set. Wont happen again.
Next trip think ill go down toward dam and try strictly for striper.
