I always come down to one of the northern lakes in the spring and the summer. My question is what's the temperature like in first week of October. Thinking about a fall trip. Any help would be appreciated.

It depends on the lake. I would expect highs low to mid 80s with the caveat there may be a cold snap

It depends on the weather but if the future forecast are close and we get several cooler rains October is looking like a great month it's usually starts turning on good on Guntersville by the 3rd week but this year looks like it will be earlier. Pm me closer to time and I can give you a up date on what's going on closer to time .

It's good most years in October. But expect lots of little fish in the fall but there will be good fish mixed in. Come on down they will be hitting some where.

Weiss should be starting up by then also.
Usually the 2nd football game of the season things start to heat up here at Weiss.
