For those near Cape Girardeau, Foutz Fishing is continuing with their Going out of Business Sale. Ends Saturday. Danny Foutz died in an MVA a few months ago and stock is being liquidated. Yesterday and today were 30% off most fishing (at least what I looked at) and I believe things will go to 50% at some point before all is done on Saturday.
I hate to see them go. Danny will be sadly missed. I will stop in tomorrow

HOLY CRAP!!!! I had no idea Danny was gone!!! I met Danny in 1995 when he worked at Tombstone Tackle in Columbia, MO. I was there on a regular basis for cancer treatments and I would go in there to just kill time and talk fishing. We hit it off and fished several times together. He introduced me to Thomas Hill and I showed him how to catch walleye and sauger out of the Mississippi River. We would talk a couple times a year and we were trying to get together for a Mississippi crappie trip. Our last trip together was 7 years ago when he came up in October for some river Hybrid fishing. We had an epic day catching well over 50 with our biggest being 10lbs. 4oz., along with 7 keeper smallmouth and 3 largemouth. I think I talked to him last in March. Although we didn't see each other often I will definately miss him.
