Got in one more trip to Monticello before the heat wave. We drifted & fished cut bait on the bottom at several spots down toward the dam. Wind was too calm most of the time for a good drifting bite. Tried using trolling motor on the drift which resulted in several cats. We got a lot of hits but only caught 25 small blues.
We had cloud cover for most of the morning, after that it started getting hot so we left about 12:30.
