Wow! Thanks for sharing your 2nd trolling motor ideas and pictures. I will be looking forward to seeing your cranking reports and fish pictures.
Looks like you have an ideal set up for pushing cranks. I push crank baits at .5 with 2 Oz of lead. I use small shallow running baits. The 2 Oz of lead keeps the lures at the desired depth.
Monk
good picks
Good idea.
Nice setup
Lot of hardwork there. I put a happy troller on my outboard and been happy trolling ever since. Now I just use the trolling motor to steer. Can pull cranks all day.
Neat idea! Always good to be able to think outside the box!

Monk, that's what I was doing in that pic- front 4 rods were 14' pst's pushing with 2 oz weights. Usually go 1.4-1.6 mph. Back rods were 10' pst pulling cranks.
tenncrappie, I'd like to use outboard & trolling plate, but got an old 1979 ranger there- has a mercury 115 'tower of power'. Good old engine, runs like a sewing machine, but I don't think fuel efficiency was a priority back in 79 when they built it... Would cost me a fortune in gas to troll with it. :)
