7-15-17 lake martin

Took a guy I work with out to lake martin this morning. Left all the jig poles at home and went after bass. Probably should have left the bass stuff at home. We fished from 6:30 till noon. Only missed about 3 other fish.

Lots of bait fish around the trees and something was eating them. Wouldnt toutch my baits. All bass caught in the open water in submerged grass on spinnerbaits and buzz baits. Attachment 269997Attachment 269998

Did you go on the far side from the landing in the trees? I'm wondering if the grass is bad. Last time I was there over a year ago it was not possible with a trolling motor.

It was bad all over near the trees. Had to keep the tm on 5 to cut through it. Lowrance would read depth and the grass would come all the way to the boat. Early morning the buzzbait over the grass got 2 of them.
