A 1/64th ounce crankbait jig
The most important part of a Crankbait is the lip. I got to wondering if I could duplicate that lip action on a 1/64th or 1/32nd ounce jig head. The angle of any crankbait lip doesn’t affect how deep the crankbait dives. It affects the action of the lure. The lip will get that enticing wiggling or wobble or side to side action when they are pulled through the water. I wanted to try and experiment to get that on a 1/64th lure jig head. This is what I came up with by using Loctite to secure a Colorado Blade lip to a tiny jig head. This will give you the "Flash" of an underspin and the "Wobble" of a crank bait. What do you guys and gals think? I am calling this a crankkbait jig. I bend the hook and then angle it up so as to get a better hook set. Use a needle to drop just a tiny bit of loctite on the jig head to secure the lip to the jig head. Add on a soft plastic trailer.
