I had a 16' PST break in the handle just ahead of the real. I was pulling cranks at 1.5 mph. It was it's 3rd trip to the lake. I have broken the tip of one but never a handle. This happen to anyone else?

I broke a blade off the prop before I got to the landing too. Not a good day for me.
Just wasn't your day.
If that don't work..Call Grizzly Jig..They can sell you the broken section...Welcome to the PST world ..I use them, and like them, but always carry spare tips. Have never broken the bottom section, so far
Thanks guys.I'll give BnM a call. I carry spare tips as well, but never thought of breaking one in the handle. Were is the best place to buy props or a Merc 60?
Are the tips bad to break?
Evidently B&M poles are easy to break, I have been using the Slab Daddy rods for years, with no broken tips, I push and pull cranks & jigs with them. The are fine. I use 10, 12 & 14'. They are great for spyder rigging also.
I also had a handle break on a 16 ft PST, was told it was impossible.
