HI, I am from Illinois(can't help it I was born herenow 13 grand kids here) my question what is life vest law in Tenn. mI am loaning my bout just 16 foot with 50hp to daughter & sonlaw for the week to take to Lake Douglas. kids range 13 to 20 do they have to keep lifevest on all the time in boat or just have one in boat? Thanks jax note I saw a few picts of Lake it looks beautiful
If im not mistaken 14 an under must wear life jacket at all times while in boat unless it is anchored

Under the age of 13 ... all times boat is underway. But, it's probably prudent to have them ALL wear one "at all times" ... especially if they're not seasoned boaters or they're on a lake with heavy traffic. Only takes a split second to go overboard, whether the boat is under power or stationary. And "under power" can be with the big motor OR the trolling motor !! :twocents
