Shenango lake

Hey guys newbie here from oil city area and wandering best
place to launch at Shenango lake. Looking for crappies mostly. Not asking for secret spots, just wanted to head in right direction since it's hour drive for me. Thanks in advance

Campground launch. Plenty of good fishing right in the bay.

You might want to check the weather forecast for tomorrow. Rain is suppose to be heavy with 2-3 inch possible. That amount of rain will raise the level around a foot and half. It will be muddy as anything. It will be like fishing in chocolate milk if you go this weekend. I have been catching a lot of crappies trolling but all are small. They are chasing the schools of shad. Not trying to put a damper on your outing just giving you a heads up since you have an hour drive.
