Anybody notice that the front reel seat is to small to accept the Okuma prong comfortably. I have wedged it in there, but it does not slide in very far. The reals feel like they are tight, but I wondered if anybody had any issues or fixes for the situation.

Been using Okuma's on PST's at least 4 or 5 years without any problems.I may have a different model Okuma's than you.Mine are older 15DX models..
From reel prong only slides in about 1/8 inch. Seems to be to wide. Maybe I need to go to the grinder.

Snug it up as right as you can...you will be fine

I've tightened it down as snug as possible. I then zip tied reel base front and back to rod. Finally wrapped electric tape around zip ties. On the back I extended tape to cover the collar from loosening up. I had the collar to loosen one time without noticing and it backed out enough the reel fell off while fighting a good size cat that wanted my crappie crankbait. After that I can up with the above solution.
I still might go to the bench grinder. I seems that the front foot of the real is just a tad to wide to fit deeply into the real seat on the pole. I suspect about 1/16 of in inch on both sides would let it slide in deeper. May try on one of my parts reels this evening.

I never had that problem, but last week, one of the metal slots on the handle that the reel goes in split in half.
