Tville 6/3/17 Report
Took my wife and kids out for a day on Tville. We spent half the day fishing and half the day swimming and eating lunch at the marina. The kids had a good time swimming and I got to spider rig deep brush piles with Minnow/Mo Glo Capps & Coleman rigs. We managed 13 keeper crappie and 2 nice bluegills while surviving a full barage of tidal waves, jet skis, skiers, tubers, cabin cruisers and flat-out jerks.

There's good classes of fish coming in behind this year's. We caught around 100 shorts with a couple big schools of 7"-9" fish. The keepers were holding tight together, as all them came off two brush piles.
The kiddos asked if we could go back tomorrow. I told them they'll have to take a rain check on that one. I'll have dreams of rogue waves tonight!!

Dude, I know what you mean. Seems like every time I go, and there's not much boat traffic ... the wind finds me. And every time there is wave maker boat traffic, they want to do their "showing off" right where I'm fishing :banghead
Good on you for getting the family out and putting them on some fish, swimming to cool off, and braving the onslaught of weekend "wave makers". :highfive

You are more brave than I. I can't take the weekenders. Maybe if it rains one Saturday I'll put on the rain suit and head out during the daylight. Too many other lakes for me to try and deal with them jokers.

that's the thing about my home lake T hill in MO. this weekend campground was full but only a couple pleasure boats in water as most people were just splashing around in the small beach area or floating in tubes. only couple ski runs and few waves. big time for our fishing is winter spring and by june you don't have a lot of boat traffic and few beat up waves and only a couple of docks so it's nice.
Now my new other home lake st louis? entirely different tubers, skiers pleasure craft constant and rocking if you arn't out at day light on weekends. so don't fish then. but know what you mean it is hard to keep your boat from crashing into docks your working.
WTG in taking care of your family time and getting some very nice keepers and katching a ton of smalls.

It is an adventure to fish there in the summer. The older I get the less I go on weekends and if I do it is ususally at night and a "safer" part of the lake.

It's like driving around a Walmart parking lot full of teenagers
