2013 Ocean Motorized fishing Kayak. 13'-6", with built in MinnKota 36lb. thrust rolling motor. I added rod holders on the battery cover, modified the rudder pull ropes to make them more use friendly, added an anchor trolley, and custom made an anchor pole out of a 6' aluminum paddle. I bought a Harbor Freight boat trailer and modified it to fit my yak.

This boat is ready to fish! This 17 foot all weld aluminum boat is ideal for just about any type of fishing. The open floor plan provides a spacious area for seats, coolers or gear while still providing a generous area to move around on the metal floor. The wide floor space and deep sides make this a safe boat for family fishing trips also.


This 17 foot boat comes equipped with a Tohatsu 4 stroke 20 horsepower motor. Right after the purchase of the motor, I was given access to several private lakes that do not allow larger motors. Therefore, the motor really did not see much use after that. In fact, the only hours on the motor is the break in time, so the motor itself is practically new with very little use.


The boat also comes with a 55 pound thrust, variable speed Minn Kota trolling motor. The variable speed trolling motors are more expensive, but they sure do earn their keep when you do not want to spook fish up close. The deep cycle battery is brand new and was purchased for this sale. A nice padded removable seat is provided that can be used either on the front or rear of the boat.


Crappie fishermen will love the four-pole spider rigging rod holders that are secured to the front deck. They can be removed while either bass fishing, traveling or when the boat is in storage. When yo desire to troll, there are pole holders for each side. The custom sliders permit the rod holders to be conveniently located along the gunnels (front, back or in-between). Flush mounted bow and stern light mounts are convenient when just "one more cast" turns into several as the sun sets in the distance (lights are included).


The trailer is a heavy-duty trailer built for the 1754 Grizzly. The metal fenders have metal steps that allow a quick and safe entry into the boat. The tires offer plenty of tread for miles of towing pleasure.


She has been a wonderful fishing rig, but I find myself fishing smaller private lakes with my kayak due to limited time and the availability of some small nearby private lakes. My loss, your gain!

This is my first venture into the world of kayak fishing. I've only had her for about two weeks, but I'm loving it so far. Field & Stream Eagle Talon 12. Pretty much stock for the moment.

Boat fixed ready to charlie slide lol

ZZ KICKER is a SPRY 58 years young Alumacraft 14.5' Queen Marie Runabout... She Came to us about a year ago...A NEGLECTED, BIRD POO COVERED,( ABOUT 15 Years ) BEE INFESTED (2 Cans of Raids worth!) Wait! Can't leave out the RODENTS! And a Junk 50 hp. Mariner

After the Bees were dead, I went to work...Pulled up the floor to reveal dead rodents and their mess, 4 emptyings of the shop vac. later... she was ready to go to the Carwash... 2 rolls of quaters Revealed the wasted paintjob... Break out the air tools (Sander's, Paint sprayers, etc...) and go to town! Since the 50 was off, and Junk it got sold, as Did my other boat, NOW I HAVE SOME CAPITAL to work with!
After sanding, etching, Seam Sealing, She got primered and painted 1958 Alumacraft "Cherry Red" Time to mount her new power plant a 1985 Johnson 70 hp. VRO with .015 shaved off the intake side of the piston skirts and a mild widening of the exhaust ports. with 48MM Vac. synced carbs residing under that faded bonnet (when It gets REPAINTED again, I'll paint that to match the hull) We put in a new steering cable too. While I was back there we fabricated a rear deck, to help her hold the extra HP., and to mount the trolling motor, the anchor winch w/ 18# anchor with a slip over UMHW rope guide, 3 sunken rod holders, 5 rod storage, Under the new deck there is 18 gallons of fuel with another 6 in a can. The PIX don't show it ...But there is 5 oz. of Halographic glitter in the 11 coats of clear...The livewell is out of it's hole in the pix cuz it's getting plumbed into the drain plug with a pump to fill it and will be plumbed into the Bilge pump outlet to exit the boat " Look Ma NO HANDS LIVEWELL"
With the Back of the Boat up to "Snuff" it was time to get up under the Bow 1st order of business was to reinforce the bow deck to hold the Minnkota electric anchor winch pulling a Danforth "6" Sand anchor (3 Ribs and steamed plywood) Next came the woodwork for the # 3 Interstate battery bank,1500 watt power inverter, Front fire extinguisher, throwable Floaty, Bouy's, and of course dry storage for "THE THINGS WE MEN FORGET" TP,paper towels, Baggies,Sunscreen, etc...
3 Battery bank your asking your self? Well... the 55# thrust Troller (that has been rewired to steer correctly, the Kenwood/Pineer stereo(Rockin to the Oldies), 1.25 M candlepower search lights, Nav lights, and the humminbird Hilix 5 combo, LED Interior lighting, power tilt/trim, and Electric winch all take power...So does the onboard blender... Chuckle chuckle (It's for bait) you thought Margarita's didn't you
Time to work on the dash and wiring AND TAKE LOTS OF VALUME!!!! Words like power block, master disconnect, amps volts make me me shrivel!!! Rewired the original 1958 control panel and cigarett lighter was the pitts,the rest was fairly straight foreward....TILL I REALIZED I FORGOT TO WIRE IN THE CHARGE PRO 3 BANK ONBOARD CHARGING SYSTEM...Sounds simple right? Nope! With 3" of clearance above the Batts IT AINT HAPPENING so I rigged up a slide rail so they can pull rearward and be tipped to access the posts, and reattached the wire hangers wich you can see in the pix, ALL LET GO used acitone to wipe before mounting... On top of the dash is a BER BER style carpet that will except velcro mounting, everything you see on the dash is mounted and moveable This system really works!! It will take a ugly vro w/ 21 pitch x14' prop. launch...I MEAN IT'S UGLY....A PASSENGER BROKE THE SEAT UGLY! Speaking of Props, we have 4 for her to tune for my attitude and water conditions... A13" 15", 17" plus the 21" (The 21" pushes her well over 40 mph on GPS)... Over 35mph shes a SCARY ride at only 14.5 feet... Back to the dash The rod holder were a total pain to set up... even though they are hidden pretty much and have good angles...They are rod specific (So when you break a rod you have replace with same handle size)
There is stuff I'm forgetting like the solar powered flood light for baiting at night...But thats kind of irrelevant
