Yesterday I installed my new HB SOLIX 12 which took the place of my HB 999. The power source is the starter battery, which was the same for the 999, and when the engine hits about 1800 rpms I get what you see in the pic below. You can see the interference start on the right side as I throttled the motor to 1800 rpms. I had the same issue with the HB 999. Yes I have an inline fuse.
Any idea on how to get rid of this?

Did you use the new power cable? It has that little puck in it that helps to cut down noise.
It could also be prop wash depending on how the attitude of the boat changes as you throttle into it. Maybe try trimming up.

Like Rickie said motor first. Here is what I would try first. Pull cowl, trace down every wire you can find that goes to ground, remove those and clean area good along with ring eye. Make sure each one has a star washer that bites into block. Then go to wiring that is attached to battery and check each ground wire to make sure wire and connector are connected good. Check that power wire to finder is not wrapped around or laying side by side with main wires to motor to tach.
Figured out the issues and yes some it was wires around wires so I rerouted some the transducer cables which fixed some of the interference but not all of it. Fixed it mostly by going into the setting and narrowing the frequency on the sonar. Now it works like a champ and how I expected it to perform. We also put some magnetic ferrites on some of the cables.

Your motor is generating electrical noise, run a ground wire from motor to the battery ground. it will go straight to battery and not through the depth finder first. i had the same problem up front on the depth finder, I run a ground wire from the trolling motor to ground on battery . before I did that, I had to run the setting so high it filter out the good returns also.What good is that depth finder if you got to filter out all the returns.
