Chickamauga Lake Crappie report 5/18/17

I had a good morning crappie fishing with my brother in law and nephew. We fished bluffs and off shore structure and deep brush. We had a one limit of keepers for them to take back home. We also caught one spotted bass, 1 Warmouth and 2 Bluegills. We had 3 good crappie pull off at the boat and lost a bass in the 3 lb range that jumped and threw the lure back at us.

Water temp today was 72.4 when we stopped fishing near noon. Water flow was from 19,900 to 24,000 CFS during the time that we were out. We fished eddy water on the bluff and caught good quality fish today. Bobby Garland Baby Shads in the 2" Green Thunder was my best lure and they caught fish on a chartreuse looking bait but I don't know which company made that particular one. I have fished 6 out of the last 7 days and this old body needs to rest. I'm doing nothing tomorrow. Grin.

Well I was going to come down tommorow but you do need the rest!!!!!
