Past few trips
Went to lake palourde last Thursday and then again Tuesday. Kept 4 sacs first trip and 6 the next fishing from about 8 AM to noon. Caught in 8 to 10 FOW around wellheads and laydowns fishing about 4 to 5 ft under a cork. Very lite bite both days and they seemed to prefer shiners over hair jigs. Both days caught some small throwback sacs and some bream.
Launched off the levee in catahoula yesterday and just as I had thought I would I didn't get a bite. Fished the deeper water most of the time instead of the flats. Fished around cypress trees, fished holes in lillies, and submerged grass beds with no luck. Tried jigs under cork, road runner, and dropshotting. Water is pretty high everywhere. Good luck to all

Yea it's tough anywhere around the basin and spillway. I'd recommend the marsh or a reservoir or bar pits.
