Reporting my Monday morning trip. Pushed jigs from 0730 till 1100 in David lake. Water was muddy and the fish were scattered all over just picking one up here and there. Managed 2/3 thirds of a limit on various colors but I think the dark crawfish imitation caught best Attachment 266261Attachment 266262
BTW the Gou was saved for fish tacos, it kind of made the perch look small. :dono
Nice job in the mud! Never seen a Gou before. Congrats and way to overcome the conditions.

Down here the sheepshead is a salt water fish and the black drum is a salt water fish and this one is the fresh water drum from the river systems. Pretty filets and it's all in the preparation. My friends in Louisiana call them Gaspergou, Gou for short.
Tony I have caught and eaten all of the them and the shepshead in the gulf are by far pne of the best eating fish I have ever had.
