I caught these nice bluegill at bluff lake (noxubee wildlife refuge) fishing a bed in some cypress trees. The picture of the solo bluegill, is a big boy I caught about two weeks ago at bluff lake that I forgot to post. Question: I have fished on new moons in April with mixed results, but I have never fished the new moon in May. Will bream bed on the May new moon?
I also fished a little at bluff lake on Wednesday and caught these. Attachment 265980

Nice mess of fish . I have caught them on bed ON THE FULL MOON in APRIL,MAY and JUNE .
I don't know the answer ,but I have heard the full moon every month here in texas once it gets warm ...nice fish
I've mainly focused on the full moon, but I've read that there is some spawning activity around the new moon too. I missed the full moon in May due to flooding so I'm hopeful that is true.

3 days before,3 days after and like this week the entire week after
If the moon is hanging come sunrise it aint worth the hassle in my experience(s)
It will straighten up after this one and the fish will return to manageable status
Do enough life chores to hold you over 3-4 weekends
