If your going to launch at Cutright, you need 2 to keep from getting wet Either that or wear high boots if your by yourself as you have to back way back in water to get to deep enough to offload and load out as well. Water past the Marina as you go up is now muddy and I long lined jigs for 1.5 hrs catching one small crappie, the switched to cranks catching 40 and culling 6 keepers 10" to 12" and also got into the hybrid bass catching 3 that went about 3lbs each releasing them back. Hot colors were yellow crawl, and chartreuse bandits about 8-9' down in 12-16' of water. Fish were scattered even tho I had quite a few showing on the SI and DI. Lost 2 real nice ones at the boat as they never did hit the baits hard today. Saw 3 boats using minnows catching small fish and they pulled up after a hour or so and would go hit another spot. I have no idea why DNR hasn't unlocked the high water launch at Cutright as it would be perfect to use to launch. NE wind was blowing the muddy water all over Cutright from above. I was impressed with the thickness of the crappies I kept and the females were full of eggs, but in no way ready to spawn. Water temp was 62.7 everywhere I went today. The new Ipilot I installed rocks over copilot that I previously had been using. No comparison!

Which ipilot did you install? I he copilot and was thinking of doing the same thing.

Ipilot add on for Powerdrive V2. Simple install new head of trolling motor and plug 2 wires in where you had co pilot kinda plugged in. 400 plus is cost shop around. They have version for 2016 and older models or new version for 2017 models of trolling motors. Works like a charm. If you get one, watch,the you tube installation of minn Kota as it's simple install where the instructions are written for 4 diff versions of trolling motors and skips around a bit. It's crazy worth it if you been using co pilot a lot as I was also using co pilot. It can totally run the boat while you fish and especially when rigging rods or changing baits. I haven't tried spot lock yet but it will work for me as I don't carry anchors. Will try it S soon as I get my can going to a lake right now. :fish

I have a riptide that (I think) has the co-pilot. Came with the boat. Its the black controller with grey buttons and no LCD display. How do I find out if I can fit the I-pilot upgrade to it?

If you can run the trolling motor with the controller, it's a copilot and you can add the ipilot but like me, you will have to disconnect the co pilot to install the Ipilot and it's very easy. Go to lowrance' website and they have a video on it as well as look for the installation manuals in Support. Also, you can read all the questions an their website for answers to your questions. Just be sure to purchase the Ipilot for a riptide and make sure it's for 2016 and older models and not for a 2017 trolling motor. Super easy to install as their installation video is only about 6 minutes long. Also make sure your getting the Ipilot for a riptide st model or sp model.

Shop around also, eBay and amazon.com for best prices. But when you shop around copy down the model number of the Ipilot you need off lowrance' website.

The total difference between co-pilot and Ipilot is co pilot you can turn the trolling motor right/left, speed control it, on/off. Ipilot has spot lock, you can manual control trolling motor like co pilot, you can.record up to 6'tracks as you troll, it has cruise control for setting speed and never touching it again as you fish, you can let it run the tracks you recorded while fishing with cruse control on, and in auto Ipilot setting, when you use it, it will adjust the direction of the trolling motor while running adjusting for wind drift or wave action, its crazy when you let it all run the trolling motor while long lining jigs or cranks. Gotta have a Ipilot for sure in my fishing from now on. Good luck fishing.

I had some difficulty with the spot lock at first. Then I reread the manual and saw that the anchor can interfere with it. I moved my anchor from storage in the front of the boat to the back. I just thought I would mention that to possible help someone. I will be the first to admit though I am kind of slow when it comes to all this electronic stuff. I still have plenty to learn.

My spot lock is still way off, but I have the gen 1 terrova....but can't complain, it's the feature I use the least
