Anyone been to John Hays since we've had all the rain, and if so is the water up across the road. Don't want to waste a trip if the water is over the road and you can't get to the ramp.

Just got back from there and it's fine. It's up some but not close to the road and not near as high as it got last year.
Still crazy crowded?

It was. I couldn't believe it for a Tuesday afternoon with 15-20mph winds. I think about 15 boats, definitely 10+. But I still enjoy fishing there.
Thanks for the info guys. It is amazing how many show up to fish the lake, I wish they would expand the parking area and fix the road so that it was not so hard to get in and find a place to park.
Did you make it there? Do any good?

Have not made it to the lake yet, will be trying to get there Monday but the flash flooding in Salem has me concerned about the lake level now?
Good luck with that, worked all day today in Salem...looks like a war zone. Cars flipped over, tractor trailers in the creek, sheds four houses away.

I actually made it out there this afternoon. It's up to the edge of the road but not over. Lots of debris floating around. Fish were biting but kept getting ran off by thunderstorms.
