Good Times at MO Spring Camp
It always seems that Mother Nature enjoys reminding us who is actually in charge when crappie camps are planned and this one was no exception. Although it began with rain and the waters continued to rise the whole time, it didn't dampen camp enthusiasm :)
The festivities ended up being moved to a different campground and some folks at Bucksaw had to switch rooms on Saturday or wade water on the way out Sunday, but it didn't stop the fun. We never did put our boat in the water at Truman, but thanks to JR, we used the ramp below the dam and fished LOZ. Holy cow, yáll have got some gar up there! We did manage to catch quite a few crappie (all dinks) and one good eatin size cat.
We've always said that camp isn't really about the fishing, it's about the fellowship. It's about meeting folks that you've interacted with on c.c and catching up with those friends you've already made. We really are a family and camp is like a family reunion. Paul and I have been to camps in 5 states and hosted a couple here at home and we know how much work it is. Thanks for putting up with the Tennessee branch of the family and we look forward to seeing yáll again. If you come to Reelfoot or Ky Lake we're between the two and will be happy to help if you need anything.
Here are some pics I snapped while we were there. I have to say, the one with Ed, Abby and Sadie is my favorite!
