Shu, for the way I fish, I think they're just fine. Start getting taps and not bit, then you're too long FOR THAT DAY. I have downsized and restarted a bite a few weeks back by downsizing to a smaller profile. Some might think the lower left jig is short but I've used many just like it and they work just fine. Good work there Mister.
I am by no means an expert or even close to good, but in the fall I tie up a bunch of 1/32 oz jigs. My tails are very long also, as I was told by a fellow that long tails in cold water fall slower an that is what you want. Summer short tails have a faster drop rate. And my short tails are just like on lower left. Some very nice ties you have going on there.
I use a longer tail than some do, but I like them that way! I am not a fan of short tails except early spring and still the water is cold and I break out some kip tail jigs as in cold water the fish are not as active and really not looking for a chase I like the kip tails because it doesn't have a lot of action. Once the water warms just a little I like to use Marabou which is has as much action or more than any other materials. I just feel most of the time I fish (not a winter fishermen) the fish will want action from the bait.
That is my 2 cents anyway,

I think the tails are too long and tend to tie tail length = body length. I know were are not tying flies so we don't need to be so picky
Too hot to fish so tied a few more yesterday afternoon, the one by itself used parts off a broken jig from a buddy that said here's one that catches fish.--shu
