So, me and HuntJWM met up to fish yesterday at 4:15am. He said he enjoys being in the marsh so deciding where to fish was easy, Bob's Marina in Gibson. The main goal was to cover as much water and new canals as possible; to learn new areas and establish the best pattern for the day. We had a slow start, picking up a few here and there. so, I took us to a spot that had produced for me in past trips and it didn't let me down. we quickly picked up some on beetle spins and slow reeling hot grubs. I knew finding deep water vertical structure would be our plan, and that's what we did. Every spot we hit we either picked up a few or a bunch. Truly awesome day! Had a great time with a new friend that came from this site! We ended the day with 66 keeper slabs, 5 bass, 3 goggle eye, and 1 cat daddy. They were caught on hot grubs, beetle spins, strike king wild shiners, and gray ghost/blue head jig tied by Pastor.
