Taylorsville 4/18/17
Paul and I got there about 11AM & fished til about 6PM... lake up a couple of feet from where it was last week. Trash & branches covered the ramp at Settlers, and filled the pocket to the right of it, so we left and went to Possum Ridge to launch.
Water was muddy around Possum Ridge, but was just "dingy" around Settlers Trace Marina and the main lake area in front of it.
Water temps have climbed and are now at 67-69deg.
We brought home 26 keepers (9-11") of a mix of Black Crappie & White Crappie of both sexes. (though this batch was mostly Black Crappie)
Most caught in 6-8fow : casting pink or blue/chartreuse Roadrunners, and occasionally slow trolling with them (pole in hand & running at 0.6-0.8mph). Only had a few really slam it, like last week, and most just kept nipping at it until you could feel some weight (& then set the hook).
Big fish of the day was a Hybrid Striper @ around 17" ... that gave me some good pullage for a few minutes. Thanked him & sent him on his way. :ThumbsUp
