Finally back to fishing
Paul and I have been sorta awol on c.c. for a while. Between work stuff, family stuff and life's little speed bumps, we've been out of the loop. The worst and hardest thing over the past few months was having to say goodbye to Charlie. I loved that dog so much and miss him every day.
We've now added a puppy to the family and, oh my gosh, I forgot how much effort is required!! She's a Boston Terrier mix that we rescued at about 10 weeks old. Her name is Sadie. This was her first fishing/boating adventure yesterday and did very well.
We fished the south end of Big Sandy and boy, was it a beautiful day. We fished from 5 to 9 fow and caught at least 60 crappie. There were a LOT of short but chunky fish. We ended up keeping 15. Threw back some that were just a hair over 10". The males are darkening up and the females had eggs but they weren't full. Water temp was around 62°. This was only our 2nd time on the water since the first of the year. We haven't been nearly as much as we'd like, but we'll take what we can get.

Know what you mean we lost our 9 year old Jack Russell a couple of weeks ago. Sure miss him. Sadie looked like she enjoyed it.
