fishing out of canal fish camp next week any shell cracker knowledge? best bait crickets or worms? first time to fish santee cooper lakes, any help is appreciated:fish

We caught some last week using worms. I've only catfished that area before, hopefully someone at canal lakes will point you in the right direction. You can hit the canal, Marion or Moultrie - so lots of options for you. And looks like you picked a great week weather wise.
