Just looking to get out and do a little bit of striper fishing over the weekend. Was wondering if anyone could tell me the water conditions on either lake are like. Thanks in advance for any replies.

I have not been up the lake on Murray. Was going to ride around today but to windy. Here in mid lake it is stained but not to muddy. Down lake should be good. If I was striper fishing I would start in bear creek as water should be better there. Fish have stayed in there all winter. Hope this helps
Murray should be fine from the split down the lake this weekend I'd imagine. Probably is a little muddy up above that. I'm curious what the mud looks like in the creeks around the Hill.

The Saluda River is running high and muddy today here in Piemont so it is heading your way. All the back waters on the Hill I would think will be muddy also but the fish do bite in muddy waters :)
I don't mind catfishing or crappie fishing in muddy waters as I can catch fish but not really a big fan of striper fishing in it. LOL.
Lots of fish moved in Ballentine within the last week. Check your favorite hump and they will be there.
A lot of trash will be flushing out of the creeks as this is the biggest rain Ive seen all year. I got 3" and after 2" I rode around a bit and seen Beaverdam Creek already out of it's banks so I'm sure the mighty Broad went out of it's banks too. Only clear water I think you'd find on the upper end of Clark Hill now would be right below Lake Russell dam in the Savannah River arm of the lake.
So far the water is OK in the big Saluda just above Blacks Bridge where I live.
Was on Murray last weekend bass fishing sat and sunday. From Dreher to Big Man`s Marina. Good clarity but that was before all the storms. Lots of striper boats up river towards BM marina.
