April Fools Weekend Ky Lake Fishing Report

Longline trolling Paris Landing area. North East winds was tough on Saturday. Trolling batteries died just a few fish short of our 2 man limit. Really had to run the Ipilot harder than usual and drained my batteries. Sunday Dad and I got our limit, it was a beautiful day out on the water. Fish where caught in 6-8 fow. thanks, I gutted it and pulled all the storage boxes, gun box and original drivers bench seat to make it a open floor to give more room. Dad not able to sit up on rear deck so this works out good for him.

Congrats. Qudos to you for taking your dad fishing. My dad has passed on and I'd give all I've got to see him in my boat. Congrats on some nice fish buddy.

He is the only fishing buddy I have ever had. I was raised in his 17 ft bass tracker spider rigging Reelfoot and Ky lake. started going with him around age 5 or 6. I am 35 years old now and I count on 1 hand how many times i have been crappie fishing in the boat without him in it with me for my whole life. He is a retired police officer now, but his health will not allow him to go without me. I hate he cant go on them pretty days anymore while I work. He does however do some bank fishing from his golf cart some during the week. lol I try to cherish it best I can. We just lost mom in October so I know how it feels.
