Trolling Lake Wylie yesterday (3/25)

Didn't get out on water around 10am (some may call me a slacker!!) - wanted to do a little scouting trolling with long lines, since I haven't fished Wylie very much, I wanted to get an idea of where the fish are. I headed out to Crowders creek and started back in the shallow, but I don't think they are that far back yet. Got back out towards deeper water and started catching some. Rode down to Big A - tooled around there for a while, but didn't do much good. except couple 10" perch and a channel cat.

Trolling little Allison, again starting at the back, but nothing biting back there. Got back out to deeper water and caught half a dozen or so - at smaller creek mouths around what little bait I could find.

Didn't catch a lot - 13 crappie I think, total. But did catch quality fish, though. They were pulling hard - had one jump out of the water like a bass, and the other pulled down hard.

Was a great day to be on the lake. Ones I caught seemed to be holding in 15-20' water.

Good report and it is what I am seeing also. Only thing that is saving me is hitting known sweet spots in different creeks.

Glad you got some scouting in. It should be good when the April 22nd gets here. Water has to warm up some more. Good report and pictures. :highfive

lol I know the feeling...I've skunked out plenty of times myself ...Come on out on April 22n@d. Bunch of folks will be there I'm sure would be happy to help put you on some fish.
