Trolling motor stabilizer

I'm looking for a stabilizer that doesn't have to be attached to the floor. One like you see on YouTube videos of new Ultrex.

My question is why do you need a stabilizer does it hit the boat when in rough water? It does kinda irritate me about these trolling motor stabilizers the only reason they ever came up is the early Terrovas would self deploy in rough water ( happened to me once ) once that issue was fixed there is no real reason to have one.

Haven't got it on boat yet, but have noticed them on all the videos and thought maybe they were needed.

I didn't use the stabilizer leg that came with my Fortrex ...

You can have it ... if it will work for your needs JT ...
