Going fishing

Going tomorrow for the first time with my two new helix 12's. Hope they work well. Took a lot of time and I believe I did everything right. One question. Do you guys trailor to the lake with your units on the ram mount? Or do you put them on at the boat ramp? I know this is probably a preference, just wondering what you guys do. I have the ram ball mounts.

If I could even afford a sonar unit that cost that much I would have it in a padded steel box riding beside me to the ramp and would have the passenger seat belt around the steel box. Maybe even have it extra insured also. Two of those cost more than my entire fishing rig.:twocents

I don't put mine on until I am at the ramp. I have the ram mounts also. They snap on really quick.

Put them on at the ramp READY area not while sitting on the ramp, please.
