Sorry for the late post. But, by the time I got home, cleaned the fish, ate supper, and worked in the garden until dark I was too tired to compute. LOL.
I caught 6 females close to bottom in 16-17 feet of water on 3-4 different jigs, so color didn't seem to matter. All of them full of eggs and about ready to burst. The wind picked up so I moved to a small protected cove.
I caught 6 males in the shallow water, about 3-6 feet deep. I caught them on two colors of jigs. Five of them came off of a pink head with a red/chartreuse tube.
All in all, it was a great day. Ended up back at home safe and sound with 2 big messes of fish. Ate one of them last night. Going to send the other one to my in-laws this weekend when my wife goes over to visit her mom, who has Altsheimers. I know that isn't spelled right, but you know what I mean.
I did see two WL&F agents spraying the Salvinia on the lake. I hope they can keep it under control by spraying it early.
