Percy Priest report
Took my grandson with the wife out to JJP for the first day of my grandsons spring break yesterday. Started at 7:30 long lining hot grubs in 10 to 14 fow trolling at .8 to 1 mph, within the first 60 feet of trolling we had one in the well and put two back. I caught a limit three Sundays ago, then the water temperatures were in the high 50's low 60's. Yesterday we had 52 to 54 degree water. We left at 1:30 with 13 keepers, and threw back around the same in short fish, grandson (6) had a big time and is already asking when we are going out again and if I can switch my reels to right side for him. He did good handling the 12 and 14 foot poles but kept turning the spinning reels to the top so he could reel with his right hand, (will work on that with him). The Sunday I caught the limit, most fish cleaned were females (4 to 1), yesterday cleaned 10 males to 3 females, none of the males had color all females were loaded with light yellow eggs.
Good luck

Tracey,
When I went home for lunch he had to take me out to the garage, said he had a big surprise for me, hmmmm. All my reels were switched to right side, he watched me switch one to right side while we were fishing. His mom said he was out of the house (they are living with us till their house is done) before he got breakfast. He came back in later and had to show his mom how he fixed all of Pa Pa's reels. She said she hoped they were't going to have to buy me all new reels after the fix. She looked and had to ask him what he did to them and he replied, "Pa Pa has been using the reels with the handle on the wrong side all this time so I fixed them for him"! I'm in a spot now, don't want to hurt his feelings and put them all back, young man is so proud of what he did for me!

Good trip Rayzor. Nephew did things like that to please his dad, outcome wasn't so good though. Sounds like a smart young man.
