TOPO Maps
Found a cool link to USGS Topo maps and it's FREE. Just zoom to the section you want. Each section prints 5 PDF pages. First page shows the 4 boxes it covers and the other 4 are detail maps. They print on letter size paper so you can print them at home and cut and tape them together if you want to. Really good FREE maps. Did I mention they were FREE????

Very interesting Paul....as a young draftsman around 1961 I worked for an engineering company in Mississippi...one of the many things we did was create these quad sheets for the COE......it took about 6 or 7 drawings on mylar to make one quad sheet...one drawing would be the woods (green areas)....another the waterways (blue)....another one roads.....another one the houses, contour lines and powerlines, and another all the writing.....etc.....it was very tedious but interesting.....

That sounds like interesting work. That must be where Photoshop got "layers" from?

You know how hard it is to find detailed maps of the Pearl River river system?
All the old timers are hoarding the original good ones.
