It should be on big time when the water warms back up. I don't doubt that a few of the crappie may have spawned already with the warm temperatures, but based on the number of females I caught late last week stuffed with eggs, I have to assume most of them have not spawned yet. I fished for a little while yesterday without much luck but the surface water temperature had dropped already from about 63F to 56F at Clarks Hill.
I'm more than ready to go. Two weeks ago when we had perfect weather my boat was in the shop. Had company all last week, now it too cold for these old bones, but I'm ready when it warms up. I did buy me a new(to me) tow car for my birthday, so it will get it's first shot at pulling the boat.
Dang brett ! Thought you was the man. A little 20 degree weather and 20 mph. wind gonna keep you off the lake ? I know it is gonna keep me close to the fire !!!:biggrin:biggrin
I could deal with the 20 degrees, BUT the wind stops me very cold
As soon as I get a break from work I'm going out to see if Brett's out there. Lately the wind has paid off for us. Now 17 degrees this morning would have had my attention to bundle up. I went to work and forgot my insulated coverall's, that left a cold streak down the back side.:Rofl
I'll see you out there Brett!:fish
He better get started finding his honey holes. I need some good spots to fish. Anywhere he aint catchin is a good spot to start. :fish
