Lake Bruin 3/10
Went to Bruin on Friday, and found a few in the shallows. They would not touch a jog, but we had some shiners, and if you moved around you could pick one up here and there about a foot down in three fow.... All black, all males... Fished from daylight to 10... Ended up keeping ten, lost a few more and would have stayed a little longer, but the wind was making it hard to cruise the bank. Sorry no pic, but they were all about a pound or so...

Good report GN. I'm sure somebody will be be helped with it.

Thanks for the report. I've only fished there once. Seemed like a tough place to fish.

It's not the easiest, but it's not crowded... Never caught a giant there, but we have caught some decent numbers. The wind is the big issue, and any amount of rain will slow it down a lot in a hurry...

Just north of St. Joseph, LA in Tensas Parish. It's a big, deep oxbow. We hunted all thru my high school years with a member of Winter Quarters. His hunting camp was on Lake Bruin.
