I need to get a new net for landing crappie. I was just curious to know what net most of you are using and how long do you think I need.
Thanks.

If your using long poles you need a long net. I got a frabill 5' or so rubber net for cranking last year. Works ok with two, but still tricky. After spider rigging by myself and losing fish with short net, I ordered the ego s2 slider, baby reaches out almost 9 feet.. I look forward to getting it.

EGO that extends with a rubber net. I got tired of sending 5 minutes untangling the hooks after catching a fish.
Monks crappie has the crap-e- net he is a supporter also!
I use an EGO with a rubber head and I just purchased a JENKO carbon fiber handled net from
Grizzly Jig this past January. I like it because it has a deeper net. The drawback is that it is
not rubber, but talking to the owner of Jenko Fishing, he is having one made in rubber for those
of us who troll cranks. The carbon fiber handle on the net is very lite weight.

Anyone who hasn't seen the new Jenko Big T Dura Light Crappie Net . Weighs 17 ounces and extends to 12 feet. They are expensive. Received mine last week. Going to put it to the test Saturday I hope. Purchased mine through grizzly jig. I have had ego also. They are nice but to heavy and bulky for me. JMHO
Thanks for the help guys. I just ordered a Ego reach rubber from Grizzly Jig. Can't wait to try it out.
