Burnt Cane Creek
Anyone ever fish Burnt Cane Creek outside of Forest City. I live in eastern Arkansas and this is one of the only lakes around that has enough water in it to still launch your boat. I fished it quite a bit last year after Horseshoe got too low to launch a boat but I haven't been back this year. Was just wondering if anyone else on the site ever fishes there and If so, did you have any luck and have you fished it lately.
Thanks

I haven't seen hardly anyone post a report on Burnt Cane. I've heard though the grapevine that there's some good fishing there, but don't know anything personally.

The fishing can be really good there but I haven’t been there in quite a while.
Fish the breaks/ledges in the channel swings. I would look for isolated cover that is on the breaks/ledges and you should find some good fish. That lake can be hard to fish at times but once you find the pattern you can go all over the lake and catch some really good fish.
There is very little exposed sand left in the lake but if you can find it I would fish the area hard and the surrounding cover.

Good lake but getting plenty of pressure.generally about 23-25 boats there now when there used to be 3-4. half of it has been muddy for a while and this concentrates the fishermen. best pattern seems to be to check out under the wild or bitter pecans. Does anybody know why? I wonder.
