Some of my new jigs

Started tying my own last year and this year I have vowed to only fish with jigs that I make this year. I figure it is a good way to push me towards becoming a better jig maker.
Here are a few I made this past weekend.

those are some very interesting color choices and I like them! Great work, kinda inspiring me to give it a go as well.

Bet most will catch crappie! I like the Kip tail ones best as I am not a big fan of the fibers that all end at same spot, but also know they will work too, it's just a personal thing for me and you shouldn't take it as something bad.

A couple color combo's I like a lot are.... Silver/Blue/White, Chart/Blue/Chart and of course the old stand by Chart/Black/Chart. The Blue I like best in regular chenille is the Copenhagen Blue.

On yours I like the Red/White/White best and next is the all Chart.

I like the kip tail a lot as well. Holds a nice shape in the water.

I am on a tight budget and am working with I materials I have for now. Really looking forward to getting ahead a bit so I can Start ordering some of the things I really like.
The simple fiber jigs work really good around here when you have the big bluegill and crappie moving into the same areas for spawn. They are not my favorites either but they sure do catch a lot of fish.

Just know some of this stuff is not cheap, but some of the good stuff is pretty low cost. Example of that is the Copenhagen Blue chenille, it's Rayon and sells on the lower end of prices and the crappie really love that stuff!

Here is the Copenhagen Blue on these jigs I tied for a guy here. When you tie with Rayon just know it has a direction and you need to tie it in from the correct end. You can gently run it through between your finger and thumb and on way it will feel smooth and other way lightly rough and the rough end is the one you want to tie in! Other wise it will look a bit strange and not like these.
