Planning a little trip in April and bring my Dad and Son with me. Is there any cabins on the lake anywhere? I have stayed at Harrison bay in the motel rooms by the Mexican restaurant on a catfishing trip. It was really nice and the restaurant was good, however my Dad doesn't like Mexican food and me and my son enjoy cooking some meals. I would reall like to be on that end of the lake we are going to try some crappie fishing.
103 views and nobody knows a place to stay? I can't find anything on the web so maybe there's not. Thanks for looking though.

Sorry - Island Cove (which I think is where you stayed before based on your description) might be your best bet. I am not aware of any cabins, unless some of the state parks have them.
That's the conclusion I have come to if there are places they are not advertising. Thanks

Coming out of island cove turning right heading south on hwy 58, your family will have a selection of many fast food places to eat less than 5 mikes away. Also if you continue north on hwy58 to Mahan gap road is a place called country side AN across the street is Kevin's burger. Both great choices. Both easy to find as well.
Having grown up in this area, I can tell you that time of year is on fire for crappie without running all over the lake.
