Elite 7 ti losing bottom

I have my transducer mounted in the exact spot that Lowrance recommends and it works great at slower speeds.

When I get over 10 mph or so, I lose bottom and depth. I have my transducer mounted about 1/4" below the bottom surface of the boat. See the pics below.

I noticed it's causing spray behind the boat off the transducer with speed, but cant see exactly where the issue is. Can someone give me some pointers to hold bottom at speed? Will sonar and downscan still work if I raise it, even with the bottom of the boat?

That's awesome. I will make sure it's level. Hope this will help keep bottom with speed.

I have seen this level mounting video above before. From a technical perspective, the only thing I can see improving would be depth and that at hull speed. The pitch of the boat also changes with ballast and speed.

I say this: depending on the boat and persons weight, the yaw also changes, which affects the angle of the transducer. When we fat guys drive most boats, especially at slow speeds, these boats have a list to starboard if the steering is a right mounted console. All you fat guys know this.

Lower it 1/4 inch and give it a small tail up angle (1 notch). You probably getting bubbles from the bottom of UR boat.

AS TOM HAS SAID,LOWER DUCER AT LEASE 1/4 INCH AND MAY HAVE TO LOWER A LITTLE MORE,MAKE IT A LITTLE DANGEOUS FOR FLOATING OBJECTS ON WATER,ALSO DROP THE BACK DOWN ONE CLICK AS SAID,FISH WILL NOT BE AS GREAT OF ARCH BUT BETTER ON SPEED,BTW WHAT KIND OF BOAT IS THAT

Transducer spray is basically the water deflecting off (and up from) the nose of the xducer housing ...

Changing the height and/or angle of the xducer as the guys above have mentioned may also help with the spray ...

Some fabricate a deflector above the xducer ...

I looked at me Pondtoon skimmer. It is about 1/2 inch below the bottom and 1 click away from center level. Works fine. Mine kicks up when I hit stuff with the original mount. Mine aint superman tite on the pivot.
