Lake Wylie 2/23/2017 Stubborn on Long Line.

Sitting at my work desk and said too nice of a day lets go fishing. Got on the lake at 3:30 and fished to 5:30. Longline and had to go deep with 1/4 ounce and caught 6 crappie and two perch. The pattern was still minnows on the bottom 2 cranks up at 30 to 35 feet. Tomorrow I will bring minnows at 3:00. Saw some strange characters out there. One limit with minnows on bottom of course he is a smart fellow. Now Dawg and friend well lets just say they new the pattern. :Rofl :highfive They can chime in.

Sooner or later the troll bite will kick in, and you will be the one with the limit. Beautiful day to be on the water though.

Saw CK out this morning with a LOAD of minnows, but the fish were not being friendly.
Should have trolled with me for FREE!!

Sorry, I can't give a picture of end results. We came home with 31 crappie riding in the live well along with 2 perch and 1 big 10-12 lbs. catfish. Everett and I manage to get 16 crappies and one perch, the others came from the gentleman ( Jerry ) in the jon boat picture. He said he used to be a member on CDC and hasn't posted in a long time. Very nice guy! We had troubles with my new tm and lost about an hour of fishing time before CK came up on us in our distress. Plenty of fish there just have to be slow moving to get the bite. We got most of ours right before dark and the breeze calmed down. May have to move in closer to shore line in the next week. I may even try to long line some too!:yikes

Been going after work Ofishlbizzness, and it hurts me to get up early too! Only way I can go right now with the nice weather. Next week I'm on the dreaded shift 1-7 pm. But look out the following week. :highfive
