Shadow will help ya out...and he's a super nice guy and a very good fisherman.....
First thing is bring PLENTY OF JIGS!!! As SneakyPete has said on multiple occasions.......Bundicks, that lake has a lead problem, of which I have help contribute to! As for the fishing, I have been fishing in water anywhere from 15 to 20 foot deep and fishing about 14-16 foot deep. I have tried shiners but I have always had better luck with jigs, although there are others that have done very well with shiners. The best color jigs for there are red/chrt, blk/chrt & Orange/blk or the bobby garland cajun cricket and threadfin shad have been doing very well out there. The last 2 - 2 pounders I caught out there were on Orange/blk and the threadfin shad. Good luck and let us know how you do. ALSO, THE LAKE IS FULL OF STUMPS JUST UNDER THE WATER SO RUN SLOW!!! OR JUST RUN YOUR TROLLING MOTOR. The boat lanes have been remarked and are 100 times better than they use to be but just stay close to the markers.
Thanks Shadow. Just heard my plans have changed for tomorrow. But I'll try it soon and let you know
Thanks again.
