Then came the event, where CG1 brought the customary 21st anniversary Crappie.com cake.

Phantom and some oh so good shrimp. Yeah you heard me right. Danny gave up a trip to the Keys to bring us a ton of great shrimp. Thanks Danny, you made the day.

It was a great event. We had some rain come through, but it was minor. Thanks to Danny for the eats, and thanks to my FIL and Flycaster, and the Shumeister for frying it up.

Good start..... Calm water.... Didn't last long. Turned out to be a tough fishing day.... Still had a great time. Great to meet CDC folks from Missouri and see all our CDC friends. Thanks Ed for throwing the slabfest.... Thanks shu, John, phantom, Ed's fil and Sharon and the ladies for setting the table. Special thanks to Danny for bringing the shrimp and Linda for the CDC cake. It was just like the old days.... Great memories.

Thanks for posting, both of you. I wanted to be among you, it just wasn't to be. Glad all went well and some fish were caught. I'm extra jealous that I missed CG1's cake, it looked wonderful. Some excellent food and better company, the next time I can only hope to attend.
