My first attempt at using a map card will be this Spring. Is there a good tutorial video available that can speed up my learning curve on the functionality of using this Humminbird 7 with the map card? Any big tips that are helpful or functions that are a waste of time and to avoid? Fishing the reservoirs and my new card is Version 4.0. Thanks!
Best thing about that card and first thing you need to learn is how tou use the depth offset feature. One you figure that out learn how to color in depth you want to fish and the shallow water depth set. Should be some tutorials on YouTube. I can do it but can't explain it. You will put in your card, fire up unit, hit menus twice and cursor over to charts, then cursor down through menus options. Make sure you put unit in advanced user mode.
